Mechina: A Preparation" is a 45-minute documentary film that explores the lives of six Israeli teens before they enter mandatory military service. Told from the perspective of Maital Guttman, who was born in Israel but moved to the US at the age of 7, "Mechina: A Preparation" does not point fingers but rather shows the personal, human side of young Israelis. The film has toured Jewish film festivals, college campuses, and high schools around the country and has inspired productive dialogue amongst thousands of young people.
