As one of the enemies of Israel, the Torah records a man name Og king of Bashan. Deuteronomy refers to him as having been a giant. Who was Og and what was his story? The rabbis, seeing a great opportunity, greatly expand Og's story, describing him as an antediluvian behemoth, who held onto Noah's ark and was finally taken down by Moses himself in an epic battle. We will look at these stories and more and try to get behind the anecdotes to the Rabbis' message.
