Welcome to Your Jewish Community

Limmud Atlanta + SE is a unique Jewish community: a place where the agenda is set by volunteers for volunteers – by you. LimmudFest is a place where you are encouraged to be creative, take risks: try new things. Everyone teaches and everyone learns. Everyone is responsible for the experience this weekend. You make it happen. That’s why there are no participants or volunteers at LimmudFest: instead, everyone is a volunticipant

Mummy and Ima, Daddy and Abba: the Growth of Same-Sex Jewish Parenting

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

There are now children with two mummies or two daddies, or other combinations or parents, in almost every Jewish day school in the UK. Join a conversation hosted by our British visitors Sam and Natalie about parenting options for same-sex couples and hear about the growth of these new family types within the UK and Israeli Jewish communities. We will also describe the growth of a new UK network for these families, Avot ve Imahot. How does the Jewish community support these new family structures, and what challenges are there? Hear some of the ups and downs, experiences and stories. Everyone welcome.
