Welcome to Your Jewish Community

Limmud Atlanta + SE is a unique Jewish community: a place where the agenda is set by volunteers for volunteers – by you. Half a million Israelis took to the streets one Motzei Shabbat demanding "social justice" and making connections many of them did not make before. In this country, thousands occupied Wall Street for days, demanding justice for the 99%. What were all these claims about? Why did they happen when they did? What resulted from these still ongoing movements? What are the connections between them, and what can we learn from them? Where do our social values as Jews fit into each one of these movements, and the global call for change still echoing from the streets of Cairo, Tel-Aviv, New-York and nearly every major city on our globe? Join us for a conversation, and share your thoughts on all of these questions and more!
